The Southern California Carpenters JATC is administered by
a Joint Management-Labor Trust Fund that is fully financed by Employer
contributions. The Training Fund's goal is to provide the highest quality
training to those interested in a career in the various carpentry fields within
the following areas:

Acoustical
Installer
Insulator
Modular
Installer
Piledriver
Cabinet
Maker
Millwright
Floor
Layer
Scaffold
Erector
In addition to receiving trade related supplemental
instruction with hands-on training to support classroom lectures and
individualized coaching, our apprentices are provided with on-the-job skills
training that enhance competency and confidence which leads to the quality
craftsmanship that our contractors demand. Further, we firmly believe that to
meet the challenges of the rapidly changing technology in our industry and the
globalization of our economy, that our members must have broadly marketable
skills in order to become highly productive and able to maintain their full
financial capabilities. The Training Fund is committed to providing lifelong
learning opportunities for its members and to meet the training needs of its
participating employers, including training certifications in the skills needed
for journeyman to advance in their chosen field, as well as necessary
retraining enhancements for new and emerging technologies.
