DW-101 ORIENTATION/SAFETY
Introduction to the Interior Systems Program. Subjects to be discussed will be hand tools, power/powder tools, math, beginning blueprint reading and layout. Certification for Scaffold Erector (welded frame, mobile tower) and low velocity powder actuated tools will be given. 40 Hour Course.

DW-102 SAFETY/HEALTH & SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS
This course will primarily focus on Health and Safety certifications, safety and math. Certifications can be earned in Forklift, Aerial Lift, OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR. 40 Hour Course.

DW-103 BASIC FRAMING/MATERIAL IDENTIFICATION & TRIMS
This course will focus on the basics of material identification, print layout, framing, drywall installation and proper trim application needed for the Drywall/Lath industry. Hand tools are mandatory. 40 Hour Course.

DW-104 BASIC LATHING/STRUCTURAL FRAMING
This course will point out the different styles and techniques of structural framing compared to light gage framing. Proper waterproofing, lath and trims will be explained, demonstrated and applied to the framing. Hand tools are mandatory. 40 Hour Course.

DW-201 ADVANCED FRAMING/CEILINGS & SOFFITS
This course is designed to provide a more advanced level of framing, including ceilings and soffits with drywall and lath application. Hand tools are mandatory. Prerequisite: DW-103. 40 Hour Course.

DW-202 BLUEPRINT READING I
This course is designed to teach the basics of reading, understanding and visualizing the blueprints. Terms, symbols and definitions from several trades will be incorporated. Prints showing both residential and commercial will be used. Layout tools will be necessary. 40 Hour Course.

DW-203 ADVANCED FRAMING/SUSPENDED CEILINGS
This course is designed to provide related classroom instruction with the technical skills and knowledge to successfully frame any suspended ceiling in the Drywall/Lath industry. Hand tools are mandatory. Prerequisite: DW-103. 40 Hour Course.

DW-204 ADVANCED FRAMING/CURVES & ARCHES
This course is designed to teach curves and arches, barrel ceilings, radius walls and soffits. Hand tools are mandatory. Prerequisite: DW-103. 40 Hour Course.

AWS LIGHT GAGE WELDING – AWS
This course is designed to prepare the student to obtain an AWS light gage welding certificate per AWS D1.3 Structural Welding Code, Sheet Steel, the welding of plates 3/16" or less in thickness. Student must obtain certification to receive credit for this class. 40 Hour Course.

ELECTIVES

DW-301 ACOUSTICAL I
This course is designed to introduce the learner to the standard methods of assemblies and codes required for acoustical ceiling construction. Upon completion of this course the learner will have a working knowledge of assembling standard grid for ceilings and soffits. Hand tools are mandatory. 20 Hour Course.

DW-302 ACOUSTICAL II
This course is designed to expand on the usage of acoustical materials and products used in the acoustical industry. Upon the completion of this class the learner will have a working knowledge of glue-up, concealed ceilings/walls and the usage of compasso for ceilings and soffits. Hand tools are mandatory. Prerequisite: DW-301 Acoustical I. 20 Hour Course.

DW-303 BLUEPRINT II
This course will give the student more in-depth training related to on-the-job conditions. Basic estimating, material take-offs and job organizing skills will be included. Layout tools will be necessary. Prerequisite: DW-202 Blueprint Reading I. 40 Hour Course.

DW-308 CLEAN ROOM ASSEMBLY
There is a growing demand for the construction of clean rooms in today's computer and space age technology. This course is designed to acquire the information necessary to successfully train our workforce in the expanding clean room industry. 40 Hour Course.

DW-310 DOOR / DOOR HARDWARE
This course is designed to present the basic installation of door frames, and various types of doors. Lock sets, closures, hinges, panic hardware, door sweeps, etc. will be discussed and demonstrated. Hand tools are mandatory. 40 Hour Course.

DW-311 DRYWALL FINISHING (TAPING)
This course will teach the student the proper techniques, procedures and tools used in the Drywall Finishing trade. Related classroom instruction and practical hands-on finishing will be applied. Drywall hand tools are mandatory. 40 Hour Course.

DW-312 EIFS (EXTERIOR INSULATION FINISH SYSTEMS)
This course will teach the basic working knowledge and technical skills needed to successfully install exterior insulation and finish systems (foam products) to meet industry specifications and standards. Introduction to the proper usage of products and materials will be discussed and used. Hand tools are mandatory. 32 Hour Course.

DW-313 FIRESTOPPING
This course will focus on the correct methods, technical skills and firestop materials required in the workplace. Strict building codes mandate the importance of proper training. Hand tools are mandatory. 8 Hour Course.

DW-314 FREEFORM LATHING
This course is designed to teach the techniques and skills needed for freeform lathing. Skills such as proper layout, use of grids, tools, methods to bend rebar and pencil rod, welding, cutting, handling and tying of lath will be taught. Hand tools are mandatory. 40 Hour Course.

DW-315 GLASS FIBER REINFORCED GYPSUM (GFRG) / GLASS FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE (GFRC)
This course will present techniques and skills in (GFRG) & (GFRC) installation. This lab will include layout, cutting and handling, attachment methods, alignment and various related installation methods. Hand tools are mandatory. 10 Hour Course.

DW-316 MSDS
The purpose of this course is to show the student the importance of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). These sheets provide information of possible hazardous materials in the construction industry. Construction workers must learn how to properly handle or avoid these products. 8 Hour Course.

DW-317 RESIDENTIAL STEEL STUD FRAMING
This course is designed to provide new technology of cold-formed light gage steel framing for the residential market. Methods of constructing a structural floor, wall and truss systems will be discussed and applied to hands-on building. Hand tools are necessary. 40 Hour Course.

DW-319 SUPERVISORY TRAINING PROGRAM
This course is designed specifically to teach and or improve field supervisory skills, efficiency and productivity. Recommended for all foreman or anyone interested in becoming a foreman. 40 Hour Course.

LAC LIGHT GAGE WELDING-L.A. CITY
This course is designed to prepare the student for the written welding exam at L.A. City. Upon passing both the AWS (practical test) and the L.A. City (written exam) the student will obtain certification in both AWS and L.A. City. Student must obtain certification to receive credit for this class. PREREQUISITE: AWS Light Gage Welding-AWS. 40 Hour Course.
